Experiment: Photoshop Animation
The earliest animation works I'v made were stop-motion, however, I have since started to use Photoshop as my animation tool. As such, I've learned how to us the layer function to my advantage. The Timeline option in photoshop CS6 (which is the version I have on my personal laptop) and the option on CC 2018 are slightly different. While previously there was only the frame animation option, now there is a video timeline. This video timeline also allows onionskins. (Onion skin is allowing to see the previous frame in your current frame so your drawings create a fluid movement.) The experiment above is the first time I've used the video timeline and was able to see the Photoshop onionskin in action. The giants are not yet fully formed stylistically, but they use of textured backgrounds and colours feel accurate to the effect I'm trying to achieve. I'm looking into using other animation styles to expand my knowledge, but am currently looking at Photoshop as my main software to use.
